How many kinds or types of software libraries are there?

These are of three kinds

Dynamic library (programmer’s library)

• programmer’s workspace

Controlled library (master library)

• used for managing the current baseline(s) and for controlling changes made to them

Static library (software repository)

• used to archive various baselines released for general use
